THURROCK CAMERA CLUB

DIGITAL PROJECTED IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

When submitting a digital image for one of Thurrock Camera Clubs projected images competitions, there are three key requirements that your image must meet.

These are:

•Image File Name

•Image Size

•Image ‘Properties’ Information

Brief details on these are provided below. For further details see Michael Earp or Bernard Thomas who can assist or provide a more detailed handout.

Image File Name

The image must be saved as:

Your name underscore image title and must be in the .jpg format

e.g. Michael Earp_Test Image.jpg

Note: If the image is not in the .jpg format, it will not be entered in to the competition.

Image Size

Images should be submitted at a size of 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels high.

The projector does not turn sideways so portrait images should be submitted with a boarder added.

If an image is submitted which is smaller than 1024 by 768, the projection software will alter to fit the screen and may not be as you would desire.

Note: If an images width is greater than 1024 pixels or its height greater than 768 pixels, it will not be entered in to the competition.

Image ‘Properties’ Information

The Title and Author sections of the image properties should be completed to show your name and the images title.

To complete, right click on the image within Windows Explorer and select Properties from the drop down menu. Click on the Summary tab (Windows XP) or Details tab (Vista). On this tab, enter the image name in the Title box and your name in the Author box.

Note: This is the information that appears on the screen during the competition so please ensure it is entered correctly.
